"A pretty uplifting way to get through those bleary-eyed mornings." Dallas Observer (Thanks, Alan Ayo)

In October 2011, she was the sole citizen journalist live-streaming the events surrounding Occupy Dallas.

She is a supporter of local musicians and businesses within the Deep Ellum Community.

She's not afraid to say what's on her mind and her rants get longer and sexier every time...partially due to co-host Michael Morgan. That guy. So hot.

A.J. LeGrand - (Set time: 9:15 PM)
A.J. LeGrand
A.J. LeGrand describes his music as "stories accompanied by cowboy melodies." Others have said that "his songs send [them] on an unpredictable emotional journey; exploring a myriad of genres from soul, to folk, to blues, to country rock--demonstrating his incredible gift for storytelling while telling them with the perfect amount of energy and passion."

Although he didn't begin to play music until just a few years ago, stories have always played an important part of his life. Having grown up in very rural, agricultural locations, he was raised listening to the stories of lonely truckers, penniless cowboys, proud land owners, and the humble folk chasing the crops and the seasons.

"My earliest memories play through my mind like a film, backed by a soundtrack of Marty Robins, Townes Van Zandt and Willie Nelson. My dad grew up ranching in Wyoming and was a farmer in New Mexico when my siblings and I were growing up, so those experiences, those tunes and those same connections with the land and with manual labor have always resonated with me."

Hearing those stories at a young age begat a curiosity and desire to experience the same sorts of things that these "ordinary yet inspiring individuals shared; out of what seemed to be an aching necessity."

LeGrand has always gravitated to those "ordinary yet inspiring individuals." This has led to a constant search for them as he's traveled across the US and the world with the hopes of sharing his songs and hearing their stories.

With plans for a full album and an extensive US tour in 2016, be sure to keep track of A.J.'s tour and updates to hear his music, and share a story or two when he passes through your town.
Kalo - (Set time: 8:00 PM)
Sexy guitar. Infectious rhythms. Smoky vocals. KALO is groovesome rhythm and blues meets fiery rock 'n' roll.

Israeli guitarist, singer and songwriter Bat-Or Kalo fronts her eponymous trio and also travels and tours the U.S. and Israel solo (wearing only her last name and her vintage Gibson electric guitar). Fiery, unbridled and electrifying, KALO’s guitar chops and contralto voice belie her small frame with a sound like Howlin' Wolf or Muddy Waters on steroids.

Within the past two years, KALO has opened for Los Angeles-based rocker Andy Frasco, the godfather of British blues, John Mayall, guitar phenom Chris Duarte and others. KALO has shared billing with acts like Avett Brothers, Robert Randolph & the Family Band and many more.

In the summer of 2017, KALO released the funky, guitar- and rhythm-laced studio album, Wild Change to much acclaim. It was fresh on the heels of Live in NYC, recorded at the renowned The Bitter End music club in New York City and released in late 2016.

Based in the Midwest for the past three years as she zigzags the country, KALO’s roots run deep and trace back to her home an ocean away in Israel. A cassette tape of Jimi Hendrix’s Are You Experienced set KALO on a musical path when she was 16 years old. In 2009, that path stretched across the Atlantic when KALO left Israel to soak herself in American music, the sounds of Hendrix, Jim Morrison, John Lee Hooker, Nina Simone and Elvis calling.

After completing her classical and jazz guitar studies in Oklahoma, she briefly returned home to record her jazz-imbued Flesh & Bones in Tel-Aviv. Afterward, KALO moved to New York to hone her skills as a live performer, frequenting stages like The Bitter End, Arlene’s Grocery, Rockwood Music Hall and others.

In 2012, KALO left The Big Apple to strum her guitar and write in the heart of Dixie. Her sophomore album took root in the Mississippi Delta and other southern states, where the blues tinge of Dear John began to grow. Released in 2013, the album received much critical acclaim from media around the world.

Over the next several years, KALO developed a loyal following with fevered stage shows and raw energy. Brandishing a unique and genre-bending interpretation of the blues and rock ‘n’ roll, everything about KALO is unexpected … and infectious. As Skope Magazine put it, “There’s a truth, pure and simple ... that leaves you wanting more.”
True Adkins - (Set time: 6:45 PM)
True Adkins
Parker Twomey - (Set time: 5:45 PM)
Parker Twomey
Parker Twomey, Texas Americana/Alt-Country band. Twomey has been featured in Modern Luxury Magazine, D Magazine, Vents Magazine, and appeared on Good Morning Texas. Single released on Spotify & iTunes, New songs to be released summer, 2018.
The Shortlist - (Set time: 4:30 PM)
The Shortlist
"The Shortlist" is a music project created in 2014 by musicians and song-writers Elijah Parr and Cameron Meath. The two began writing instrumental pieces for several months as a drum and guitar duo. Deciding that they needed a bass player and singer, they brought in Nathan Griffin in early 2015, who began aiding in most of the writing process with Elijah Parr, and allowed the musical group to become fully realized. With producer, engineer, and bass player Bob Parr (a reown musical figure who has worked on the soundtrack of several feature films and with artists such as Brian Setzer, Cher, and Barry White), the group recorded their first EP, "The Young EP" throughout 2016 and 2017.
On Better Terms - (Set time: 3:45 PM)
On Better Terms
On Better Terms is a band based out of Dallas, TX. OBT fuses driven, groovy melodies and jazzy rhythms with harsh yells and spoken word vocals. With influences such as La Dispute, Troubled Coast, and Touche Amore, they look to bring a unique vibe to the DFW scene.

OBT formed in 2013 when vocalist Andrew Kuehm brought his poems to guitarist Alex Rincon one day. They began writing as much as possible, whilst seeking full time members. The band has been playing shows consistently in the Dallas area and surrounding states since forming, playing with bands including A Lot Like Birds, Adjy, Worthwhile, Sianvar, Strawberry Girls, Hotel Books, and more.

The band released their self-titled EP in 2015, and followed it up with their impressive second record "Superbloom" in May 2017. Superbloom includes thought provoking songs such as "A Moment" and catchy, upbeat songs like "What You Make It." The band emphasizes subjects such as accepting death, struggles with spirituality, enjoying youth, depression, and hope. With OBT adding pick-up bassist Tyler Hoisington, and drummer Josh Sparkowich, the band aims to refine their sound with a full length album in 2018, while consistently touring nationwide.

OBT has toured extensively in the past year, playing DIY shows in various areas in the United States. OBT looks to further display their musical diversity with a live in-studio re-imagining of some of the fans' favorite songs in their soon to be released "Attic Suite Sessions," slated for early November. They will also be looking to branch out as they will be hitting the road once again this Fall 2017 to promote "The Attic Suite Sessions." They will be joined by Third String Records' Oklahoma City outfit Naturalist.
