Otep
Otep
OTEP is an explosion of inspiration and motivation, empowered by their dedication to the arts, being a voice for the voiceless and fighting injustice. OTEP follows in the footsteps of fellow activism-focused recording artists like Prophets of Rage, Woodie Guthrie and others as the next, most aggressive chapter of musical social change, with Otep Shamaya on vocals, Ari Mihalopoulos on guitar, Justin Kier on drums and Drew Barnes on bass.

Originally discovered by Jack and Sharon Osbourne in Los Angeles, OTEP was offered to play Ozzfest as an unsigned band and was the first female fronted band to play the touring festival. Nominated by GLAAD for Outstanding Artist Award alongside Lady Gaga and Adam Lambert, Otep won MTV’s prestigious Best Video for “Music With A Message” award. The singer, writer and activist spoke at the Democratic National Convention in 2008 on behalf of Rock The Vote. A celebrated spoken word artist, Otep has appeared on HBO’s Def Poetry twice, recorded an unreleased poetry album and authored three books of poetry. She has also authored a book of short stories titled Movies In My Head and produced and directed an audiobook of one of the stories titled Pinebox Jake. Utilizing her incredibly dynamic vocal range, Otep also succeeds as a voiceover artist, appearing in many projects such as the award-winning video game The Last Of Us and in feature films including THE HOBBIT: The Battle Of The Five Armies.

Formed from the poetic marrow of creative intercourse, OTEP is far more than a band. OTEP is an art movement, a revolution; breaking ground. Breaking rules. Breaking barriers. Articulate. Aggressive. Pure Adrenaline. ARTcore of Heavy Mental Rock.
Dropout Kings
Dropout Kings
When you take a group of six degenerates from all over Arizona and put them under one roof, the results are proven dangerous. After the dust settled from this eruption, out came DROPOUT KINGS.

A powerhouse of hip-hop and metal with a crew of friends bringing the ruckus along the way.

Never knowing what will happen next and living life with no limits is an understatement.
One Day Waiting
One Day Waiting
One Day Waiting is an alternative metal band from the Hudson Valley NY. The band was established in 2013 and is comprised of 4 equally dedicated members who maintain a fusion of the melody of rock music with the intensity of metal.
The lead vocalist is Tyler Kray. He's been listening to rock / metal since 2005 and first started to perform in bands by 2011. Inspired by bands like Disturbed and Drowning Pool, he incorporates a heavy singing style with clean and raspy vocals along with harsh screams. He is also responsible for writing the majority of ODW's lyrics.
Nick Cozzolino, the guitarist, was turned onto rock music at the age of 10. Going to his first concert, not knowing anything about rock music, he saw Shinedown and Trapt perform. It was then that he knew that's what he wanted to for the rest of his life. He started playing guitar at age 11 and has been in and out of bands since 2010. ODW is the right fit he has been looking for. His roots are southern rock, hard rock and alternative metal.
Griffin Silvestro started teaching himself drums at the age of 9. After experimenting with jazz and funk, he settled on metal. After hearing Breaking Benjamin for the first time, he set his sights on performing with a band. He originally joined One Day Waiting in 2013 and played for 2 years until leaving to pursue school. He joined back in December 2016 and is looking forward to many more years with the band.
One Day Waiting continues to grow as time progresses. They bring the frantic raw energy at their concerts that empowers the audience to listen and feel their music. As of 2015, they have played in 4 different states and have released two EP's. They have had the honor of sharing the stage with these wonderful bands:

Divine Retribution
Divine Retribution
Divine Retribution is a Melodic Life Metal band founded by Kitty Garces and Eric Garces in Dallas, Texas when they were studying music together in college. With Kitty’s ear for melody and passion for poetry, combined with Eric’s classical guitar experience, it was their mutual love for metal and classical music that ultimately forged the dramatic, aggro-melodic sound that became Divine Retribution’s signature soundtrack. The addition of nephew Gunther Garces and his rapid, percussive attack complimented the lyrical and sonic sense of urgency that propelled their songs. In 2017, the band expanded its sonic landscape with the addition of prog-metal musician Daniel Almagro on drums and began recording their self-titled debut album, set to be released at the end of year.

With influences ranging from classic and 80s hard rock to progressive and power metal, classical music, traditional Latin and Eastern music, and the sweeping soundscapes of cinema, Divine Retribution has forged an epic sound that journeys nomadically across genres. For this reason, the band adopted its genre label, rebelling against anyone who would insist on labeling the band or their music. The music was melodic, heavy, and founded on themes of hope and faith—hence, their self-described genre: Melodic Life Metal.

Vocalist Kitty Garces says the label is “more than just a clever pun on Death Metal. For us to say we’re ‘Life Metal’ speaks more about our identity than our content, and I knew I never wanted our music to be confined by genres. I wanted to make sure we would always have that freedom to transcend genres and explore as we continue to grow as artists. We’re heavy, and our love for Jesus Christ is the inspiration and reason behind everything that we do and write, so I just let the music speak for itself.”

The music, like the band itself is passionate, as are their supporters. Appropriately-dubbed “Hellrazers” (founded on the idea of “razing” or tearing down the dark forces of this world), it was Divine Retribution’s supporters who championed the band’s message and music, garnering international attention, with radio stations, webzines, and Hellrazers hailing everywhere from North, South, and Central America to Europe and Asia.
Other Oddities
Other Oddities
Before forming in late 1999, I joined a couple of local bands and played in the DFW area. I took a short break in 2004 to create some cool heavy grooves which are mostly inspired by Blues,Rock, Jazz & Funk. Hell of a combination...i know! I'm currently working with musicians in order to complete oddity project. Without further adue for your listening pleasure, I introduce you to Other Oddities
