The Reason I am Able to call myself an "American-Musician" is due to widespread diversity of sound in my background. Born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas I was exposed to all kinds of country and folk music of course and what later became classic rock to everyone else. At the age of 15 my parents packed up shop and moved us out to California where I expanded those horizon's with the SOCAL Lifestyle of surfing and Gangster Rap (too funny). At Age 19 I joined the Navy where I served for more than 20 Years giving me an opportunity to travel all over the world. Experiencing vast culture and many different sounds. Being stationed miles away from home in the awesome State of Hawaii... away from everything was where I discovered a need to do more than just listen to music. This was a place that gave me an opportunity to give music. I landed a role as a lead singer in a rock band known as Seed. We even got some street cred with a showing on the local rock Station 97.5 KPOI which is no longer with us. but that sure was a great time with Brad Rob Jack and some other guy... no matter now. Playing in front of large crowds became a focal point... opening a Show for Bigtoe, Sister Suicide, Powerman 5000 meet and greet as well as a song with Travis Meeks of Days of the new. The Navy took me all over the world and I always had my guitar from that point on. Playing at the rocks in Melbourne Australia Then Sydney, Puerto Vallarta, Vancouver, Japan, Malaysia, Jamaica New England, California and now being home in Texas. In between Hawaii and Home I fell in with a great crew of Robert Pettyjohn, Emil Quesalda, and Patrick Roseland and we formed what we would call 5 Head Kickplate. These roots and playing garage styles will always stay with me... Many great bar gigs and parties. We tore a lot of things up and everyone was always happy. I always will have a first love other than wifely in nature in the ocean and surfing waves, but second would have to be writing music and coming together with friends to put that all together. 5 Head kickplate was driving force to where I am now as a musician... Seed is an afterthought. I got out of navy in 2010 after not playing with 5 head or its members since 2008 due to Navy transfers and our drummer moving to Australia. So I moved back to Fort Worth Texas and started playing as many places as I could get into. 4 Horse, Knotty pine Saloon after saloon then I started hitting BBQ joints like the point... Started another Band Called Gepetto-Action with Mitch Dowdy and Andy Santee it was fun and we eventually split it up. Then I got a phone call from an old friend who I had never even asked while we in the navy where he was from... Guess what Fort Worth and Robert Pettyjohn a great friend is catapulted from down under Back into my life, hell my wife even introduced him to his wife Tanja... Crazy. So since there is already a Chris Osborne Band of no affiliation to me I decided to go back to what I have always enjoyed the sound of... 5 Head.
