With super-sized vocals and hook-filled songwriting chops that blur the lines between pop and country! Ella Reid continues to carve out a space for herself while preparing to record her next studio genre-bending album!
Austin, TX singer/songwriter Ella Reid is soon to be the studio, and working on her next album that displays her evolving pop/country style and showcases her unique artistry. Ella attended the Frank Brown Songwriters Festival for two years in Orange Beach, Alabama and won the coveted first place for the Nashville Songwriter’s Association.
Ella Reid, was raised Stillwater, Minnesota and been playing music for over 20 years.
The current album features the songs Drive and Rain. Rain was picked up by Pandora and continues to be the flourishing hit. This album was recorded in Minneapolis at the old Jimmy Jam and Terry Louis studio. It’s a sonic treat packed with pop hooks and subtle 80’s Pat Benatar essence of punchy vocals that at the same time can be gentle and caressing.
The indigo Girls were the first group that inspired to start songwriting. The harmonies and gorgeous hooks are what most struck her and captured her soul. She learned to play guitar her senior year and has never looked back. An echo of her folk roots sound can still be heard in the music she writes today. It took some years of playing and moving and listening to really lock into the pop/country/rock sound she has today. The hooky, emotion melodies are what make up Ella Reid Band.
She made her first full-length an album with Dana Baily with the title tracks So Love and Dirty Boys but was never officially released. Then produced the EP Forgiven with producer Davide Raso with the release of the sonic single, Forgiven and finally got to make the current album that is available on itunes
